Power really comes at all rev ranges but in conjunction with thew high flow exhaust it really sings above 3000 and is effortless to redline. I would not go back to stock exhaust if you paid me. The improvement on the stock Land Cruiser is too great. It really gives it a VVTi motor kind of punch. This would be even more fun on a 5 speed cruiser.

Living day to day can be a challenge. The basic EMS system is much louder than stock and when tying the DT headers and the high flow Mid Pipes into the mix creates quite a roar. EMS made two exit pipe options for the exhaust system which will probably determine livability for many people. The offer the standard high mount which tucks behind the Land Cruiser rear bumper and they offered a lower, stock exit, which reduces the drone of the system significantly but makes the pipe vulnerable for off road shenanigans. I’ve run both and prefer the stock exit pipe. After the install of the complete system I sound proofed my Land Cruiser using FatMat through out. I also installed Outback Solutions drawers and moved my spare tire to the bumper – this has allowed me to run the high mount exit pipe without increasing the booming or drone levels.

Article by: RobRed Applicable Models: 1998 – 2000/ 100 Series Land Cruiser or Lx 470 EMSPowered is now defunct.
